Hair mask

Photobucket
Hello darlings!

Ever had those days when you run through your hair with your fingers and wished that your hair could be smoother than it is?

I personally dislike chemical hair mask as they chemical laden. They make my hair temporarily soft and rely too much on it in the long run.

I love yogurt. Consuming it and using it. It's really good for you. It helps in digestion, which is vital for a clear skin. I have made a post about yogurt face mask. Check it out (here).

Use yogurt as your hair mask. It's amazing. I usually use it once a week and leave it on as long as I can (30mins - 1 hour) while watching TV and etc.

Get a bowl with 3-4 tablespoons of yogurt. The amount depends on your hair type and length. Mine is medium length, thick in amount and fine in texture.

Before application, lightly dampen your hair a little. And just apply the yogurt on your hair. Make sure you concentrate on the ends of your hair and the scalp region. Leave it on for 15 mins to an hour. I definitely recommend an hour. Wash your hair with water, shampoo your hair twice to get rid of any excess yogurt.

Don't worry about getting dandruff when you're using yogurt. In fact, my dandruff is reduced when I use it.

Your hair would smell a little sour. So I do recommend you to apply it during weekends or anytime when you aren't going out later on. :)

Yogurt..
  • Is a gentle cleanser
  • Is good for dandruff
  • Promotes hair growth
  • Keeps your hair smooth, soft and shiny
  • Reduces tangles in hair
  • Good for digestion

Basically, it is very beneficial for your hair. :)

If there's any left over, just smear it on your skin or do double duty and apply it as a face mask.It works wonders.

Until next time, darlings. ;)

Hair update and review

Photobucket
Hello beauties! I have absolutely missed blogging and so here's a wonderful post for you. :)

This post would be discussing about my hair regime and products I have stopped and started using. I would also be giving a short description and review of the products.

Please do check out in a couple of days for an update on my face regime.

Be warned because it's going to be a long post down below.

I have stopped using Asience shampoo as my big bottle of it ran out. Personally, after finishing the whole bottle - I don't really like it to use it as my staple hair product in the long run. I actually only use this shampoo when I want to wash off the yogurt mask that I applied beforehand.

I'm the kind of person that doesn't use products in a long run, unless I really love it and I really see the results I want from it. If you're interested in the product, please check out the post (here). However, I love the Asience's conditioner. It leaves my hair so smooth and silky. I have been wanting to get another for quite some time now.

I will after I finish my Tresseme Salon Silk Conditioner. My thoughts on Tresseme? It does a good job in making my hair smooth and silky. The bottle is huge and it lasted me for about 6 months or even more. However, I am quite uneasy with the amount of chemical ingredients in the product. I would not buy this again if I had more money to splurge on organic and natural products. :)

The current shampoo I have been using is the Esmeria Organics Frequent Use Shampoo. Check out my review (here). I really like that it is natural, organic and I know what am I using on my head. It makes me feel much more at ease. The skin is the largest part of my organ and whatever I put on it will be absorbed into my body, somehow.

It would be absolutely fabulous if the price of it was much more affordable. It cost RM 40 currently and it comes with a conditioner (which I wasn't so lucky to purchase before they made this packaging). Personally, for me I am not willing to spend RM40 for a shampoo that is going to last me a maximum of 2-3 months (while switching with other shampoos). Also, the consistency of this shampoo is in really liquid form and this causes me to finish it pretty fast.

I would purchase this shampoo again if I had the money to splurge on it. However, during the meantime - I would use this shampoo less frequently to save it so I can use for a longer time. :)

The second current would be the Organic Selections Rosemary & Kakadu Plum Shampoo. I would be doing a more in depth review on this shampoo alone in the future.  Seriously, I wouldn't buy if it was RM 49 but it was on 30% discount at RM 34.30 - so I thought why not?

I would say that this product does the job naturally. One thing I realised about natural products is that it doesn't have a great cleaning power compared to a generic shampoo in the drugstore. It could be because that natural shampoos doesn't produce as much suds thus making me think that it doesn't clean as well.

Overall, it does a good job in cleaning my hair and it smells really pleasant. I have been using it since the month of June while switching it up with 2 other shampoos. I am still at 1/8 of the bottle.

As for conditioner I have currently been using, it would be the Organic Selections Rosemary & Kakadu Plum Conditioner. Likewise, the natural conditioners have a less obvious effect on immediate smoothness and silkiness compared to drugstore brands. It bothers me to think that the list of chemical ingredients has enough strength to make my hair feel smooth, detangle and shiny after immediate application. That was one of the reasons why I switched to natural products in the first place.

It does make my hair smooth and supple after air-drying it. I would repurchase this with the shampoo if there's another discount. If there isn't, I would not. That would be a long time from now before I finish it anyway. ;)

I hope you guys enjoy my review and update. I do apologise for my on and off posting. :) I will do my best to post on a weekly basis. Please do take care and drink plenty of water. I don't know about you guys, but the weather these days fluctuate in my area. Take care and I shall talk to you guys again real soon. :)
